Get to know me…

I never wanted to stray away from cooking and I’ve made sure to stick with this passion. In fifth grade I told my parents I wanted to be a chef and we agreed at age 10 over a tuna sandwich I made, that I wanted to go to Johnson & Wales University. I had an obsession with food and dreamt of Martha Stewart dressed tables and events. I landed my first cooking job inside a grocery store in San Antonio Texas called Central Market Cooking School. Mary who ran the school took a chance on me at age 17. I was able to meet many cookbook authors such as Mark Bitterman while cooking alongside chefs who taught people the art of cooking with hands-on experiences. In my college years I studied both pastry and culinary arts in Denver and Providence. While going to school I also worked in Boston at a seafood restaurant, in Denver to learn artisan breads while helping at a wine and Tapas Food restaurant. I moved to Florida where I landed a career for 12 years as a Sous Chef and moved up to Senior Managing Chef for Publix Aprons Cooking School. This job helped me grow in many ways, teaching chefs how to be the best they can be with cusomters at the front of what we do. The incredible talent that came to work with us made the food memorable.

Currently I am the Chef and Culinary Director at Pelham High School for our Hospitality & Tourism program. Each day we have 300 students learning the art of cooking and the world of hospitality.

One of my proudest accomplishments has been becoming a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier Birmingham Chapter in 2023. I also take great pride in my monthly Supper Club with wine pairings and in creating local events, cooking classes, and catering experiences.

My goal is to specialize in creating interactive dinners that bring people together to cook, eat, and learn—because for me, food is about connection, creativity, and shared experience. I can’t wait to cook with you!
